568 Autophagy Controls Epidermal Tumour Formation and Hair Follicle Stem Cell Activation

چکیده

Autophagy is a cellular recycling program that serves as crucial survival pathway and controls inflammatory responses in context-dependent manner. Here we demonstrate ablation of autophagy selectively keratinocytes, results exacerbated skin higher sensitivity to tumour formation. Autophagy-deficient keratinocytes are markedly sensitized apoptosis single-cell RNA-sequencing age-matched with autophagy-proficient or -deficient reveals the unique presence ‘hair growth’ signature autophagy-deficient keratinocytes. We noted precocious onset hair follicle growth mice lacking keratinocyte autophagy, indicating early activation stem cells. Together, our data mechanism controlling cell kinetics, inflammation tumorigenesis.

Thyroid hormone signaling controls hair follicle stem cell function

Observations in thyroid patients and experimental animals show that the skin is an important target for the thyroid hormones. We previously showed that deletion in mice of the thyroid hormone nuclear receptors TRα1 and TRβ (the main thyroid hormone-binding isoforms) results in impaired epidermal proliferation, hair growth, and wound healing. Stem cells located at the bulges of the hair follicle...

Controls of hair follicle cycling.

Nearly 50 years ago, Chase published a review of hair cycling in which he detailed hair growth in the mouse and integrated hair biology with the biology of his day. In this review we have used Chase as our model and tried to put the adult hair follicle growth cycle in perspective. We have tried to sketch the adult hair follicle cycle, as we know it today and what needs to be known. Above all, w...

β-Catenin Controls Hair Follicle Morphogenesis and Stem Cell Differentiation in the Skin

beta-Catenin is an essential molecule in Wnt/wingless signaling, which controls decisive steps in embryogenesis. To study the role of beta-catenin in skin development, we introduced a conditional mutation of the gene in the epidermis and hair follicles using Cre/loxP technology. When beta-catenin is mutated during embryogenesis, formation of placodes that generate hair follicles is blocked. We ...

In vitro Differentiation of Hair Follicle Stem Cell into Keratinocyte by Simvastatin

Background: Hair follicle stem cells (HFSCs) located in the bulge area has shown to be highly proliferative and could differentiate into neurons, glia, smooth muscle cell, and melanocytes in vitro. Simvastatin is an HMG-CoA reductase inhibitor that exerts pleiotropic effects beyond simple low-density lipoprotein lowering and has a similar impact on the differentiation of bone marrow stromal cel...
